# Active Electrostatic AES pen tech

## Overview

Wacom also invented AES technology. It works in a fundamentally different way from EMR.

There are several versions of AES: 1,2,and 3.

We believe AES 3.0 is on its way but we know little about it's performance or whether it will be seen in drawing tablets.
