# Calibrating a drawing tablet

"Calibration" can mean different things for a drawing tablet. It could relate to:

* **Pen-position calibration** applies to pen displays. It ensures the pen tip matches the pointer's position on screen. See [Calibrating pen position](/drawtab/guides/customizing/calibrate-pen-position.md).
* **Color calibration** applies only to pen displays. It aligns your pen display's colors with your expectations, those of another display, or a standard. See [Calibrating color](/drawtab/guides/customizing/calibrating-color.md).
* **Pressure calibration** applies to all drawing tablets. It changes how the tablet interprets pen pressure. This makes the pen feel more natural. You can also calibrate pressure for a specific brush in a drawing application. See [Calibrating pressure](/drawtab/guides/customizing/calibrating-pressure.md).
