# Popular bindings for auxiliary inputs

## Overview

You can bind your auxiliary inputs to different actions. Below are some popular bindings people use with specific types of auxiliary inputs such as buttons and dials. Learn more here: [Auxiliary inputs](/drawtab/core/expresskeys.md).

## Common bindings for buttons

* Undo | Redo
* Zoom In/Out
* Zoom to 100%
* Zoom to Fit
* Switch between tools (brush, eyedropper, etc.)
* Increase/decrease brush size
* Increase/decrease brush opacity
* Rotate left/right
* Set rotation to 0 degrees
* Select All/None/Invert
* Selection tool switch: Lasso selection / color similarity selection
* Navigate to layer above/below
* Display toggle
* Toggle tablet precision mode
* Pan/Scroll

## Common bindings for dials

These are great for paired tasks.

* Zoom In/Out
* Increase/Decrease brush size
* Increase/Decrease brush opacity
* Rotate canvas left/right

Some rotary dials support turning as well as a third press action. This is useful for situations where there are three related actions such as rotate right, rotate left, and reset rotation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.sevenpens.com/drawtab/core/expresskeys/popular-bindings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
